“I was inspired to pursue medicine because of my parents. Although they were not in the medical field, I drew from the analytical and problem-solving aspects of my father’s job as an engineer and the humanitarian aspects of my mother’s career in social work. I have always been drawn towards helping others and have always had a passion for learning. Medicine provides a perpetual opportunity for both.”
