Dr. Austin S. Harper is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine physician serving our Tyler and Longview locations. He joins the Precision Spine Team from Loma Linda University in California where he completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine. During his fellowship, he was trained by multiple Pain Management specialists in different fields including Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Neurology.

Dr. Harper completed his B.S. in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He then went on to earn his medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center and completed his Anesthesiology Residency at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas.

Dr. Austin Harper’s goal is to contribute to the development of a multidisciplinary practice with a focus on person-centered pain management. He believes that one of the best ways to manage a person’s pain is through a team of healthcare providers working directly with the patient to focus on the patient’s pain and the psychological, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of health and disease. The primary goal is to provide a variety of strategies and interventions for pain management with an emphasis on self-management and active patient participation. His underlying goal is to help every patient live a full life.
